Driving back from Yosemite one October. I had to stop and pull over near Bridgeport because the light was just right-- captures the subtle, yet vibrant colors of the fall.

Persimmon orchards and the making of hoshigaki

Hoshigaki is the art of drying persimmons. Lots of Japanese orchard farmers in the foothills just down the mountain. I love the blue oak landscape that supports such orchards.
