home again home again jiggety jig

After much ado over the weekend, I finally just bought a new ticket home so that I could leave earlier since I really have nothing to do here once Camille and Maggie leave, and November in Ireland is, well, rainy. So I'm leaving Toulouse on Wednesday, the day before Thanksgiving, and arrive in Newark at 7:10 PM on a Swiss Air flight from Zurich. If anyone is plan-free, or plan-flexible for this turkey eating holiday, I'm all yours.

I talked to my mom yeterday who said, "I'm totally NOT into making this a Martha Stewart holiday. The house is in total chaos and we'll just go to the store on Wednesday, buy an effing bird, a sack of potatos and some squash. If somebody feels moved, they can cook some gravy. We might end up eating in on the floor in front of a fire, but at least I'm not stressed." She's been like this ever since losing her job several months ago; we think it's something positive.

So, I' m missing the festivities in Grand Rapids this year, but hope to meet up with all of you out east over the next few weeks. If there are any last minute requests from France, let me know-- really anything, I'll see what I can do. Much love, Betony

PS: No Condrieu though Wendy, I've already been searching every store for the Mathilde & Yves Gangloff and no such luck :(
